He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Frank Reeder and John Matthew Reeder Sr., and his son, Jeremy David Reeder. John was a 39 year employee of the City of Toronto, Public Works. After graduating from Emory, Jerry returned to Alabama where he was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church and served 11 churches in the North Alabama Conference before he retired in June 2013.
